JUNKET INTERVIEW
Before filming the junket we watched several junket interviews to help generate potential questions for ours. The questions in a junket relate to the film, the production, behind the scene moments and asking for opinions from the actor about the film; also the questions can be about other topics too - usually these questions are humorous. Junkets are casual since it includes spontaneous speech however remains professional as the set up for a junket is prepared.
The interviewer tends to be very open, happy and looks very pleasant therefore we had Dione as our interviewer.
We filmed the interview in the Sixth form centre because it was an easy and accessible location since we filmed after school when it would be quieter and our actor Bertie lives near by so it was accessible for him. Also filming in school meant we could easily use the school equipment (tripods). In addition the sixth form centre is a modern and professional location so it is suitable to film a junket in. We used three cameras in different places to record at the same time so the junket was captured in different shots - Medium Close up of Dione and Bertie and a Long Shot with the two in the shot. This is because when editing I could easily change the shots with the frame still in sync and using different shots makes the interview visually pleasing and more entertaining to watch. The junket was prepared and filmed by all the members of the production crew.
When editing I decided to begin with the production logo to show it is Fourth Element's junket and included the titles 'Interview with Bertie Brown aka "Lucas"' so it is clear to the watchers what the video is about. There's non diegetic sound at the start and finish; this song is by The Neighbourhood called ' Sweater Weather'. It was used because it set a chilled and happy atmosphere, made the junket more entertaining and made it clear to the audience when the junket began and ended.
Junkets are used as a marketing strategy because it shows the actors's ideas and opinions on the film and talks positively about it therefore promoting the film.

FIRST TEASER TRAILER EDIT (DRAFT)
This is our first teaser trailer edit for our film. A limitation was that we only had footage for the opening scene therefore we could not show more of the narrative stages like the conflict stage of the story. However his disorder is the main concern and contributes to the conflict. We decided to use some shots which were not featured in the opening sequence as it'll give more of a background to the character for the audience. And it won't relieve so much of the opening sequence.
From watching many teaser trailers, the usual time duration of a teaser trailer is 15 - 30 seconds

FINAL TEASER TRAILER
This is our final teaser. We decided to make our own trailer out of choice. We thought as every film has a trailer to promote their film as a way of marketing, we're going to make a trailer too. From feedback, we found out the our titling wasn't that strong as the words were kind of like 'how does those words match the character and narrative' type of idea. So we made another one we're we changed the titling and removed the little clip that came at the end of the first trailer, of Lucas sitting on the bench.

FILM POSTER IDEAS
This photo was inspired by Blue is the Warmest Colour's poster. We decided to have a behind the shoulder look of Lucas because it creates a mysterious character. It makes the audience think what's behind him and this then creates a tense atmosphere. Which reflects on the narrative as Lucas challenges his own intense situations everyday and the genre as Coming Of Age goes through dramatic changes in the protagonist's life.
We want the background to be drawn/painted to show his artistic persona. Also how he views the world differently to everyone else suggesting an isolation of his as he lives uniquely to others. In addition shows how this helps him escape from bad problems as he faces hardship that he tries to forget through seeing life in his own way
Lonely on the bench. Bike shows his transport/routine. Park shows isolation.
This photo for the poster was inspired by the Forrest Gump poster, Forrest Gump is on a bench. The way he is sitting gives him an un-eased look, the fact that he is looking away from the camera makes him seem unconfident and as if he's deep in thought.

FILM POSTER DRAFT 1
The reason to why I chose this poster was because it centers the protagonist in the middle of the photo which can imply that the movie is about him. The idea of the background being black and white with a sort of sketched effect is to show that his life is black and white - that he has continuous mood swings because of his medical condition of bipolar. The black and white background however surrounds the coloured section of the photo which can imply that he is isolated by everything around him. The idea of having the protagonist and a bit of the background around him in colour is that there is hope for the protagonist to overcome his illness but it can also suggest that he is alone because he is the only one and only part of the photo that is in colour.
The poster was originally inspired by other coming of age movie posters such as the silver lining, blue is the warmest colour and submarine. I tried to get the same sort of look with the text from blue is the warmest colour (the word blue) but I wanted it to be more of a personal choice rather that it being copied. The other text however was inspired from the poster of submarine but I didn't add the same colour to the text - I just kept it white. The contrast between the thin lettering to the bold letters of 'blue' is also a way of portraying his illness and his mood swings. The thin lettering may be when he is happy and the bold is when he is angry or upset.
The poster is still in progression though and it may be changed and updated. It will be made to look like an actual movie poster with text at the bottom giving credits to the producers, editors etc. The decision of the colours may change too. In the future I will submit pictures to the blog and also run a survey to get opinions on the poster from all years of the school.

FINAL FILM POSTER
This is the final poster for our opening sequence, which has been made on Photoshop. I used the font 'Thin Fingers' for 'Behind' and 'Eyes'. The font for the credits was 'Steel Tongs', which I was able to find it through looking on Google, and on forums. There was a suggestion of using 'Gothic Condensed' font but it was too bold when I minimised the font. Steel Tongs is a font that is specifically made for movie posters. It allowed us to make the small text: 'DIRECTED BY', just by selecting one key on the keyboard with lower case. We improved this poster by including the credits at the bottom. To do this we followed the conventions of how posters are usually presented. We also included text at the top to say what the film is based on (a book). The reason why we did not change the background is because the black and white is supposedly representing how isolated of a character he is. The colour acts as a bubble surrounding him; he keeps to himself and doesn't really open up much about how he feels.

From research the majority of 'Coming Of Age' films are based of famous novels therefore we followed this convention - Hana

FINAL PRODUCTION OPENING
Dione made the production opening. This is the updated version of Fourth Element Productions introduction opening. We decided to keep it simple because it seems more natural and elegant which reflects on the naturalistic story in this Coming Of age. The production opening helps the audience to recognise the production group which promotes it. - Hana
